University of the Sciences and Bucks County Community College have developed a program-to-program articulation agreement in order to facilitate the transition of students earning specified associate degree programs at Bucks into pre-identified BS programs at USciences. The two schools officially signed the articulation agreement at a ceremony on December 14, 2016.

This partnership builds on the strength of each institution to offer students a broad range of educational opportunities with a clear path from a Bucks associate degree to earning a bachelor’s degree from USciences. The articulation agreement encompasses 28 program-to-program transfer advising guides, providing clear paths from nine different associate degrees at Bucks into 14 different BS degree programs at USciences.

Under the terms of this agreement, students who graduate with pre-specified associate degrees will be assured junior status at pre-identified BS programs at USciences. Students will also qualify for USciences transfer scholarship. Bucks students will need to submit a transfer application and meet pre-approved criteria and program specific academic requirements in order to transfer into the chosen BS program at USciences. In general, a full-time student can complete their BS degree program within four regular semesters at USciences.

The agreement will be in effect immediately for Bucks students wishing to enter USciences.

Founded in 1964, Bucks County Community College is a two-year, public institution that offers nearly 80 programs of study that lead to either an associate degree or certificate. Successful graduates transfer to four-year colleges and universities to complete a bachelor’s degree, or directly launch a career, depending on the major. Classes are held at the original campus in Newtown, the Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol, the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, and online. The college serves more than 9,000 credit-seeking students and more than 70,000 students in noncredit programs each year. To learn more, visit www.bucks.edu.
